Renting a car and enjoy the freedom and fleixibilty to be able to drive yourself around is one of the best and most convenient ways to explore the country. The infrastructure is very similar to that found in Europe. Renting a car is affordable (left hand traffic is the rule) and an International driver’s license is accepted.

Upplev Sydafrika in cooperation with Auto Europe guarantees you a low price on car hire. We assist in booking your rental car and arrange the practical aspects of your trip. If you rather wish to book a transport, that takes you between the cities, we are happy to assist with bookings.

Reminder …

— Drivning is on the left hand side in South Africa and the infrastructure in Western Cape is good (European standard).

— Avoid driving when it is dark and do not leave anything valuble in the car.

— It is not allowed to talk in cell phone while drivning, only if you were a headset.

— There are many speed cameras along your drive, keep speed limit.

You can travel to South Africa all year round, but we recommend going September to May

Healthcare is good in South Africa. Even so we suggest obtaining a sound travel insurance before departure

As a EU and UK citizen, you will receive a 90-day tourist visa upon arrival in South Africa
