On board the five-star Rovos Rail, one can experience an luxury travel through the spectacular landscape from parts of Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa. Join a journey from Victoria Falls to Pretoria, 3 nights and 4 days. The journey begins at the historic Victoria Falls Hotel in Zimbabwe, at Rovos Rail’s lounge – with a glass of bubbly. After the train host’s speech and information about the trip, you will be escorted by a train hostess to your luxurious suite.
About Rovos Rail
Suite-categories: There are three different suite-categories; The Pullman Suite is the smallest suit with its 7 square meters and private bathroom with shower. During the day, the bed folds into a sofa. The Deluxe Suite is 11 square meters and has in addition to the beds 2 extra seats. The bathroom has a shower. The Royal Suite is the largest suite, 16 square meters and occupies half a carriage and has a small lounge and bathroom with separate shower and bath.
The spacious suites offer passengers the opportunity to travel in privacy, comfort and luxury, with fittings and facilities that are of the highest standard. All are equipped with a writing surface and a personal safe for valuables. There is also a bar fridge filled with beverages of the passengers’ choice and room service is available 24 hours a day.
Cuisine: Meals are served in one sitting only in the charming Victorian atmosphere of the dining cars and are complemented by a selection of fine South African wines. An enthusiastic team of chefs is responsible for overseeing the very important task of ensuring guests’ every need is catered for. There’s an accent on fresh local ingredients and traditional dishes such as game are a specialty. Breakfast is between 07h00 and 10h00, lunch at 13h00, tea at 16h30 and a formal dinner at 19h30. A gong heralds lunch and dinner.
Dress: For days on the train dress is smart casual. Evening attire is more formal – for the gentlemen a jacket and tie is a minimum requirement while for ladies we suggest cocktail/evening dresses or suits.
Mobile Devices and Internet: In maintaining the spirit of travel of a bygone era, there are no radios or television sets on board. The use of mobile phones, laptops and essentially anything that has the ability to disturb other passengers is confined to the privacy of your suites only.
Rovos Rail have five different trains which can accommodate a maximum of 74 passengers / 36 suites.

Suite-categories: The Royal Suites
The Royal Suites, each of which take up half a carriage, are spacious and elegant measuring 16 sq metres in size. Each has its own private lounge area and full bathroom with Victorian bath and separate shower. The epitome of luxury with handsome wood panelling and period Edwardian features, the air-conditioned suites accommodate two people offering the option of side-by-side twin or spacious double beds. In the en-suite bathrooms, original fittings combine with the modern technology of hot showers, hair dryers and shaver plugs.

The Deluxe Suites 10 sq metres accommodate two passengers in either twin or double beds and have a lounge area and en-suite bathroom with shower. The wood-panelled rebuilt sleeper coaches, remodelled and refurbished to mint condition, offer every modern convenience and comfort. In the en-suite bathrooms, original fittings combine with the modern technology of hot showers, hair dryers and shaver plugs.

The Pullman Suites, 7 sq metres are equipped with a comfortable sofa-seat during the day with a conversion to double or twin beds for the evening, and also have an en-suite bathroom with shower. The wood-panelled rebuilt sleeper coaches, remodelled and refurbished to mint condition, offer every modern convenience and comfort. In the en-suite bathrooms, original fittings combine with the modern technology of hot showers, hair dryers and shaver plugs.
