The trip start in one of the most beautiful towns, Cape Town 4 nights, Then on to the wine district for a “mini-safari”, tresure hunt and wine tasting for 2 nights. Further on to the scenic coastal town of Hermanus for 2 nights. End the trip with 3 nights Safari at Greater Kruger National Park.
Dates: The trip can be booked on any preferred day of the week, and the duration of the stay can be adjusted according to your wishes.
Length of trip: 11 nights / 12 days in Western Cape Province and Greater Kruger + 2 travel days (flight).
The trip can also include transport.
Preliminary Itinerary
Day 1. Cape Town.
After arriving at Cape Town Airport, pick up your rental car and drive to one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Cape Town. Check in at pre-chosen Boutique Hotel or Guesthouse. Afternoon – we recommend the hop-on, hop-off bus citytour around Cape Town.
Day 2-3. Cape Town/Activities.
Get to know Cape Town – for different activities: Table Mountain, Robben Island, V&A Waterfront, Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, Waterkant, Signal Hill, Two Oceans Aquarium etc.
Day 4. Cape Peninsula/Cape of Good Hope.
Take a whole day excursion to Cape Point nature reserve and Cape of Good Hope and stop i Simonstown, Boulders Beach with penguins. Follow the costal drive via Hout Bay, one of the worlds’ most beautiful coast road, the 10 km Chapmans’s Peak Drive. The lunch is prebooked at a nice restaurant. Include the green and lush Constantia Winelands. An area with some of the oldest and magnificent wineries in the country.
Day 5-6. Franschhoek.
After breakfast, drive to the wine district and the gourmet capital Franschhoek. Check in at a pre-chosen Guesthouse. Explore the wine district around Franschhoek, Stellenbosch and Paarl. Join the Wine tram around the beautiful wine valleys in Franschhoek. We also recommend a guided wine tour with transport in the area. Explore the evenings in the picturesque town of Franschhoek.
Day 7. Somerset West/Hermanus.
After breakfast, drive to Vergelegen Wine Estate, one of the most beatiful Estates in South Africa. Picnic at Camphor forest, tresure hunt for the children, wine tasting for the adults. Drive the scenic costal road to Hermanus and check-in at a nice pre-chosen Guesthouse. In the afternoon, explore the beautiful town of Hermanus.
Day 8. Hermanus/Activities.
A whole day in and around Hermanus and choose between different activities: horseback riding among wild horses, whale watching (June to beginning of December), Shark Cage diving, golf at Hermanus Golf Club or Arabella Golf Estate, kayaking, do some shopping at galleris and Hermanus market. Experience the magnific 21 km Grotto Beach etc.
Day 9. Hermanus/Domestic flight.
After lunch, drive to the airport for domestic flight to Kruger National Park. Transfer to the lodge in Greater Kruger. Check in and afternoon game drive follows by a nice booma/bush-dinner.
Day 10-11. Greater Kruger National Park/Safari.
Safari program at Greater Kruger National Park.
Day 12. Greater Kruger National Park/Flight to Europe.
Morning game drive. After lunch transfer to the airport. Flight to Europe.
