A return trip with a start in the gastronomic capital town, Franschhoek, followed by a visit to the traditional wine capital, Stellenbosch for 3 nights. Thereafter a visit to vineyards in Botriver and then onwards to the scenic coastal town of Hermanus for 4 nights. End the trip in one of the world’s most beautiful cities, Cape Town 4 nights. During the trip you will visit Upplev Sydafrika’s specially selected restaurants and vineyards – some of South Africa’s finest!
Dates: The trip can be booked on any preferred day of the week, and the duration of the stay can be adjusted according to your wishes.
Length of trip: 11 nights / 12 days in Western Cape Provence + 2 travel days (flight).
Size of groups: At least 4 persons for own transport + driver/guide. For a group of 2 persons, a supplement will be charged for transport + driver/guide.

Preliminary itinerary
Day 1. Franschhoek.
Transfer from Airport to a nice pre-chosen centrally Guesthouse in the gastronomic town of Franschhoek. After check-in, winetasting and lunch at selected beautiful vineyard. Afternoon at your own in the picturesque town of Franschhoek. Dinner at chosen restaurant.
Day 2. Stellenbosch/Franschhoek.
After breakfast wine- and chocolate tasting in the wine district of Stellenbosch. Lunch at a stunning located vineyard just outside Franschhoek. Afternoon at your own and dinner at chosen restaurant in the central of Franschhoek.
Day 3. Franschhoek.
After breakfast winetasting at selected vineyards around Franschhoek. Picnic lunch at vineyard. Afternoon at your own. Twelve-course meal dinner at award-winning restaurant in the winelands of Franschhoek.
Day 4. Botriver/Hermanus.
On the way from Franschhoek to Hermanus, stop in Botriver for introduction of winemaking and winetasting. Arriving Hermanus and check-in at a nice pre-chosen Guesthosue, with stunning views over Walker Bay. Often you can spot some whales, dolphins and seals in the ocean. Lunch at a beautiful located restaurant by the ocean in central Hermanus. Afternoon at your own, dinner booked at a selected restaurant in the new harbour.
Day 5-6. Hermanus.
Two whole days at your own. Choose between different activities around Hermanus: horseback riding among wild horses, whale watching, Great White Shark diving, golf at Hermanus Golf Club or Arabella Golf Estate etc. Lunch and dinner at your own.
Day 7. Hermanus/Stanford.
After breakfast: visiting the unexplored idyllic town of Stanford. Winetasting and lunch at an organic restaurant. Afternoon at your own in Hermanus. Choose between different activities: take a stroll on the path and spot some Whales (depending on season), visit Spa, do some shopping at galleris and Hermanus market. Experience the magnific 21 km Grotto Beach etc. Dinner at selected restaurant in central Hermanus.
Day 8. Hermanus/Cape Town.
After breakfast, transfer to one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Cape Town. Check-in at pre-chosen hotel or Guesthouse. Afternoon and evening at your own – we recommend the hop-on, hop-off bus citytour around Cape Town.
Day 9. Cape Town.
A whole day for different activities in Cape Town: Table Mountain, Robben Island, V&A Waterfront, Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, Waterkant etc. Lunch and dinner at your own.
Day 10. Cape Town/Constantia.
After breakfast, winetour in the green, lush landscape of Constantia, where some of the oldest vineyards are located. Lunch at award-winning restaurant and vineyard in Constantia. Tour around Hout Bay, Camps Bay etc. Afternoon at your own. Dinner at selected restaurant in Cape Town.
Day 11. Cape Peninsula/Cape of Good Hope.
A whole day excursion to Cape Point nature reserve and Cape of Good Hope and stop i Simonstown, Boulders Beach with penguins. Picnic lunch on the way. Dinner at your own in Cape Town.
Day 12. Cape Town/Airport.
A whole day at your own. Visit V&A Waterfront with exciting streetlife, shopping, restaurants or relax by the pool. Transfer to Airport for flight to Europe.
3 DAYS ADD-ON SAFARI IN GREATER KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Day 12. Cape Town/Savanna Private Game Reserve.
After breakfast transfer to Cape Town Airport for domestic flights to the Kruger Park. At the airport you will be picked up and transported to Savanna Private Game Reserve. Afternoon check-in at Savanna with game drive / safari.
Day 13-14. Savanna Private Game Reserve.
Safari program at Savanna Private Game Reserve.
Day 15. Savanna Private Game Reserve/Departue.
After morning game drive / safari transfer to the airport. Flights to Johannesburg Airport for further flight to Europe.
