HIGHLIGHTS
The Shark Cage Divning is an adrenaline-filled and exciting experience!
The environment around the shark cage divning is unique and spectacular
On Dyer Island there are about 60,000 fur seals that provide food for the Great White shark
Approximately 2 hours by transer from Cape Town, 40 minutes by transfer from Hermanus, is the world-shark-famous city of Gansbaai, where you can experience the great white sharks and other shark species from a boat and in an underwater cage. Shark cage diving is an adrenaline-filled and exciting experience! The tour is recommended to anyone who is interested in experience and learning more about sharks. On the boat, you get a wetsuit, weight belt and cyclops. If you are keen to join the cage (which is attached to the boat) you may experience the sharks in its natural environment – or if you are lucky you can get a close encounter with a great white shark! It is perfectly fine to stay on the boat and spot the majestic sharks from there. The whole trip made from Cape Town (with longer transport) takes about a full day and from Hermanus it takes about a half a day. The shark cage diving is weather dependent and can be canceled if the weather does not allow a trip. The tour begins with information / training and breakfast. The tour includes light snacks and drinks.
”I will give the shark cage divning top score, and we saw several large sharks. The information at breakfast before the tour contributed to a serious impression of the company, and especially their staff, lots of staff that all assisted the guests with their equipment before the cage dive. Boat, equipment, shark cage 🙂 – all gave a very good impression and were in good condition. Wetsuits in all sizes, good cyclops etc. The children received assistans and felt safe, so they too could participate without problems. The meet up time was changed from nine to seven, but the company informed both via text message and called to our accommodation, so we received the information far in advance. A super day and guaranteed with memories that will last for a long time.”
